LED lighting for Talisker Distillery Visitor Centre Extension, Isle Of Skye

Talisker is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, set on the shores of Loch Harport in the village of Carbost.

During the redevelopment of the visitor centre, two new buildings has been added: a café and a private space. Both the spaces benefits from expansive panoramic views, to the north over Loch Harport and the iconic view of the existing Talisker Warehouse. The interiors reflect the surrounding landscape with wood textures and soft decorative furnishings.

General illumination is provided by track and surface-mounted adjustable spotlights, allowing a combination of focus and ambience. These are complemented by decorative antique brass wall lights, which introduce a warm, intimate glow and highlight quality of the materials.

Particular attention has been given to the presentation of the iconic whisky bottles. Integrated LED tape lighting within the shelving creates a dramatic uplighting effect, illuminating each bottle from below, turning the display into a focal visual experience.
