LED lighting for Camber Sands Welcome Centre, Rother District

Camber Sands Welcome Centre is a community building including a café, a space for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, public toilets and multipurpose spaces for the local community. It is design to attract interest in local ecology care, with specific activities for children where they can learn about potential dangers to the peculiar local ecology. The building is therefore both functional and civic, a mix between a shed and a town hall.

The interior lighting consists of a combination of suspended architectural linear profiles to provide homogeneous general lighting and suspended track systems with adjustable spotlights to provide accent lighting in the potential display areas.

Externally there is a colonnade of 13 coloured concrete pillars that run along a covered pathway illuminated by robust wall lights constructed of high oxidation resistant aluminium alloy subjected to nano-bonderite treatment and finished with texturized polyester powder paint making the fitting particularly resistant to atmospheric agents, like the high winds and flows of sand that are a peculiarity of this area.
